Comments:

Robert Parry used the nome de plume "Robyn Ddu Eryri" which means "Black Robin of Snowdonia." He converted to Mormonism in 1853 at age forty-nine in Swansea and was hired by John S. Davis to assist in the publication of Zion's Trumpet. When Dan Jones assumed the editorship of Zion's Trumpet in January 1854, Robert Parry continued as a valuable employee and contributor of the periodical. But in mid-1854 Parry went to North Wales as a missionary, and his name is never again mentioned in Zion's Trumpet. In his memoirs, published three years later, he describes his association with the Latter-day Saints as a "writing and translating job."
