Seeds of Promise

Ann Richards Treharne was one of many victims to cholera after arriving in America. She died on the banks of the Missouri River 3 May 1849. Her husband William died one year later at Council Bluffs. Their four daughters (Mary, Jane, Sarah, and Sage) and their son William eventually made the trek across the plains to Utah. Their son John came to America the following year on the "Joseph Badger" with his wife and two small children. They all died of cholera.
