John Walker Morris was born to John and Mary Lois Morris on 17 October 1854. He died on 2 February 1855 in Cedar City. Mary Lois's husband John Morris died on 20 February 1855 leaving her a widow at age 19. Fifteen months later Mary Lois married John's brother Elias Morris, this according to John's deathbed wish.
